November Birth Stones

Since 1912 the official U.S. “modern” birthstone list has been the American National Association of Jewelers, which is used by jewlers to define the month stones. Two other lists include the mystical birthstones which are originally from Tibet and date back over a thousand years. The Ayurvedic birthstone list is the oldest, dating from 1500 B.C. in ancient India.


Modern and
Ayurvedic – Yellow Topaz, also known as Golden Topaz and Imperial Topaz, is said to be useful as an aid to manifest your intentions to bring what is in your highest good. Yellow Topaz is useful for your Solar Plexus Chakra which is your the third chakra located behind your belly button. This chakra is important for your empowerment. The energy center holds your relationship to your self-esteem and confidence.


Modern – Citrine
is also connected to empowerment. It can be used to dissolve feelings of loneliness or being unworthy of love. Citrine is energetically connected to the sun and is considered a happy stone. It’s said to remove all kinds of negative emotional energy. Citrine is also connected to the solar plexus (see above).


Mystical – Pearl
is said to work with your solar plexus and throat chakras enhancing communication. This stone will help you discover and use your hidden potentials and it has the power to make decisions and communicate through both your heart and mind. The Pearl is said to work with the lunar cycles to help balance body’s natural rhythms and hormone levels. It is also said to help nurture love of your own self. Pearls can calm emotions and quiet the negative thoughts and feelings, anxiety and uneasiness.
