Notes from J

I’m back after taking a few months off to enjoy the summer. I hope each of you had a wonderful healthy and invigorating summer.

We’re entering a time of change and reflection as the seasons are changing and I am compelled to try to engage you to use this time to become the person you most want to be. Everything about the energy of September is about releasing the old and calling in the new.

Spiritually, all of the energy this month aligns with evaluating your life and releasing that which no longer serves you. This is a great time to reflect on your life and ask the following questions: What do you like about it; what do you wish to call into it; who do you want in your life; what changes would make you happier and empower you to be the best you can be?

September is the 9th month in numerology, representing completion. The equinox on the 22nd is about bringing balance. The leaves will begin to change their colors and the harvest will come to an end. The cosmic energy is all about reflection and letting go.

The tarot reading for this month is on a universal level for how each of us can approach the energy for September 2025.

Blessings,

J

The Shift of Seasons, A Time for Change

As one season gives way to another, nature reminds us that change is both inevitable and essential. The shift is subtle at first — a cooler breeze in the evening, a softening of the light, leaves hesitating before they let go. Yet these changes remind us that life itself is in constant motion, asking us to notice, adapt, and sometimes to let go. Change is as inevitable as the change of seasons.

However, unlike the trees, we sometimes resist letting go. Old patterns, familiar habits, or long-held roles can feel safer than the unknown. When we are in sync with nature, our lives feel balanced and evolved. The turning of the seasons offers us an invitation — to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves: What is ready to be released, and what is longing to emerge?

Unlike nature, with the trees releasing their leaves or the sun relinquishing its light, many of us find change uncertain and threatening. We may cling tightly to our leaves, which are our old patterns, habits, or roles that no longer serve us. For us, change often stirs a mixture of emotions — anticipation, excitement, even resistance. A makeover asks us to be brave and honest and to release the familiar that no longer fits us.

The transition between seasons is a natural invitation to reflect. What has run the course in your life? What patterns, habits, roles or relationships have grown tired and can be laid down, like autumn leaves? And just as importantly, what new ideas and beginnings are ready to emerge, waiting for your attention and care? What will create excitement in your life?

This is a powerful time to seek direction, and empowerment tools can help. Becoming aligned with the energies around you through numerology or tarot or can help you uncover what lies beneath the surface and reveal directions and solutions you may not have considered.

Numerology can show you your innate strengths that you may not have recognized in the course of your life. It can also help you discover the best times for you to reflect, take action, or plan.

Tarot can bring clarity by revealing hidden patterns in your life, as well as show you your strengths and vulnerabilities. Tarot can show you what the past has contributed to where you are currently, as well as your best path forward. The cards can tell you what challenges you can expect along the way, and how to meet those obstacles.

Empowerment coaching takes that insight further, working with you to take concrete steps to build a plan and to have touchstone for accountability. With coaching you develop a structure to feel supported as it puts you in touch with your spirit to help you be aligned with your highest and best good. You become empowered to transform the clarity of insight into accountable action.

Numerology for September

September is the Universal 9th month, which carries the energy of completion and letting go of projects, relationships, and life choices that no longer serve you. The number 9 is also associated with compassion, wisdom, and higher perspective. This is a month to rise above personal struggles and see the bigger picture.

Personal Month Calculation

The energy of your personal month helps you understand how to use your own energy with the energy of the Universal month. To calculate your Personal Month:

First, calculate your Personal Year Number for 2025

Add: Birth month+Birth day+Universal year

  • Birth month: 9 (September)
  • Birth day: 23 → 2 + 3 = 5
  • Universal Year: 2025 → 9

Add them up:

9 + 5 + 9 = 23 → 2 + 3 = 5

So, for September 23 birthday, 2025 is a Personal Year 5 for you.

This is a year of freedom, change, exploration, and breaking out of routines. It often brings surprises, movement, or a chance to reinvent yourself.

Your Personal Month is calculated by adding your Personal Year to the current month.

Personal year = 5

Month = 9

9+5=14 reduces to 5

Having a double 5, that is, both your Personal Year and Month, indicate a very strong influence for travel and new experiences this month.

1 Personal month: Expect surprises as you seek new directions.

2 Personal month: The energy to find new connections and partnerships.

3 Personal month: A highly creative month with joyful adventures.

4 Personal month: Anticipate stability and a time to plan for the future.

5 Personal month: A time for major changes and unexpected shifts.

6 Personal month: The focus is on relationships in home and family.

7 Personal month: Expect a time for introspection and spiritual growth.

8 Personal month: A great time for your career and financial decisions.

9 Personal year: Use this month to release that which no longer serves you.

Sky Watch

Full Corn Moon in Pisces, lunar eclipse – September 7: Expect emotional endings, release, and introspection.

Autumn Equinox, September 22: Represents balance, gratitude, harvest, letting go, and inward reflection as the days shorten, preparing for the introspective period of winter. It’s a time to acknowledge what has grown and been accomplished, express thanks for the “harvest” of the year’s efforts, and release what no longer serves to make space for renewal and personal transformation.
