Notes from J

This month is the celebration of Ramadan, Easter, and Seder. Pagans use April to prepare for Beltane on May 1. Use this month to connect with others. Reach out form new bonds while enjoying old friends.

While April is such an optimistic, celebratory month, it is also a teaser. The sun comes out, and the colors feel vibrant and alive. However, the next day may be filled with clouds and drenching rain. In

the midst of this, new plants poke themselves up in the garden and fill us with hope and joy.

Blessings,

J

Growing and Nurturing Your Life Garden

April is a month for planning what you want to grow in your garden and what steps will make healthy, vibrant plants. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I am not a gardener of plants; rather, I’m a gardener of people and their hopes and dreams. However, the process is the same.

The perennials in your garden can represent what comes up for you every year at this time. Take a good look at your perennials. Are they healthy? Do they need food or pruning? Look at your issues that come up over and over again. Are they really what you want to nurture in your life?

If you have bulbs, like daffodils or tulips, are they being properly fed with nutrients? The bulbs represent the short term beauty, or issues that come up every year about this time. Are they still welcome in your life? Do they need to be thinned or fed? Humans tend to respond to seasons energetically, and it can be helpful to be aware of your pattern.

Weeding is important to give your garden space to be beautiful and healthy. Look at your life and what is choking your energy. Are there issues that you keep giving energy to that blind you to other healthy, happy parts of your life? Weeding creates space, air, and light for the beauty you want to create.

Take time to decide what you want to grow in your garden of life. Don’t be afraid to pull out the old plants, or habits, that no longer serve you. The fact that they survived the winter doesn’t mean that they are good for you or that they should remain in your life.

April is 5 in Numerology

April 2026 is a 5 month in numerology. April is the 4 th calendar month, which you add to the Universal year, 2026=1, to get a 5 month.

A five month indicates a month of change and unpredictability. Expect the unexpected on a universal level. We’re going into a month of restlessness, impatience, and shifts. From what I’ve read in astrology newsletters, we are moving into an especially challenging and chaotic time.

The way you deal with the 5 energy depends on your personal month energy, which you find by adding your personal year, (determined by your birth day and month, and current year) to the calendar month. To find your personal month, find your personal year, then add it to the current calendar month, which is 4.

1 Personal Month: You are inspired to start something new.

2 Personal Month: You feel all over the place with your emotions and relationships.

3 Personal Month: You get sudden inspirations and opportunities.

4 Personal Month: You find plans changing and a loss of control.

5 Personal Month (double 5 energy): You initiate major breakthroughs and a desire for freedom.⭐

6 Personal Month: You experience shifts in family dynamics or responsibilities.

7 Personal Month: You gain insight through disruption, followed by inner reflection.

8 Personal Month: You have unexpected opportunities to lead.

9 Personal Month: You find unexpected emotional clearing.

Tarot Reading for April

Tarot of the Spirit, Pamela Eakins

The Spiritual Garden

What to Nurture — 9 of Fire

The 9 of Fire represents inner strength and resilience. It’s the fire that needs to be built up and nurtured in spite of everything thrown in the way. The fire is steady, so keep feeding it. In the garden, the plant is resilient and has been through a lot of weather and storms.

How to nurture It — 9 of Wind

Essence: Mental clearing, truth-telling The 9 Wind asks to have the mental clutter cleared away and to stop the old narratives that don’t serve you. Weed them out, be honest, and acknowledge your strength.

The pair of 9’s suggest that you are at a completion point and that decisions will be made about what to carry forward and what to leave behind.

What to weed — The Chariot

The Chariot suggests releasing the desire to drive everything, which means releasing the need to bein control. This card suggests moving forward with such determination that something important could be missed.

How to Release It — Ace of Water

The Ace represents a gift. Use the gift of compassion and relationship for support and alignment. You don’t have to weed out everything; leave what touches your heart. Take time to feel and appreciate.

What to Plant — The Empress

The Empress represents creativity, beauty, and nurturing energy. The Empress works together with the Ace of Water. Both are creative and gentle and represent new emotions and relationships.

Essentially, the reading says to stop pushing, clear the mind, soften the heart, and allow a new flower to blossom and grow.
