Notes from J

Happy New Year to you all! Make this new decade a time when you take steps to become more of who you want to be! Where do you find comfort? Who do you want to forgive? What is blocking your joy?

I’m introducing the seven chakras in this issue and we’ll explore each one in detail throughout 2020 to help you become aware of your blocks and strengths.

I’ll be offering a Numerology class January 4, from 2pm to 4pm at Vision Quest in Everett. You will learn how to calculate your personal year number for 2020 and what the energy of the year will bring to you. You can call (425) 252-1591 to reserve space.

I look forward to sharing this year with you. Please let me know what you would like to explore with me.

Blessings,

J

Resolutions

It’s often tempting to make promises to yourself (or you family and friends) at the beginning of a new cycle. Perhaps this year you can try a different approach by using the energy of your personal year to set your intentions about what you want to do in 2020.

Add your birth day and month (not your birth year) to 2020. My birth day is 21 and the month is April so it’s a 4. So I add 21+4+2020=2045, and reduce the number to a single digit, which is 11=2. So my personal year is a 2, which is about balance, partnership and cooperation. My resolution might be to focus on bringing more balance to my relationships with my spouse, family and friends. Next, I will write down particular areas where I can enhance my relationships and then plan events throughout the year to focus on one-on-one time with people dear to me.

Figure out your personal year and the energy that the personal year brings to you.

1 – The 1 influence is new beginnings, leadership and initiative.

2 – The 2 influence is harmony, partnership and cooperation.

3 – The 3 influence is expansiveness, adventure and joy.

4 – The 4 influence is limits, order, and service.

5 – The 5 influence is change, enthusiasm, and adaptability.

6 – The 6 influence is home, family and responsibility.

7 – The 7 influence is analysis, understanding and logic.

8 – The 8 influence is power, money and confidence.

9 – The 9 influence is completion, idealism, humanitarianism.

Chakras

As an empowerment coach I often look for energy blocks that my clients may be experiencing. In 2020 I’m going to discuss the seven basic chakras. We’ll explore the energy around each chakra, what happens when it is out of balance and methods to heal any energy blocks. In this newsletter I’ll give you an overall view of the seven chakras and explore each one individually in subsequent newsletters.

The first chakra is the root chakra and is at the base of your spine and resonates to the color red. Issues for the Root chakra revolve around safety and survival and help to connect you to earth.

The second chakra is the sacral chakra and is located just below the naval and resonates to the color orange. The issues are related to the sexual organs. This chakra relates to creativity and sensuality.

The third chakra is located in the solar plexus and related to the color yellow. The issues related to the third chakra have to do with how confident you are in the world.

The fourth chakra is located in the heart and relates to the color green. The heart chakra is related to relationships, compassion and forgiveness.

The fifth chakra is located in the throat and is associated with the color blue. This chakra relates to how you find your voice and speak your truth.

The sixth chakra is often referred to as the third eye and is located in the middle of the forehead and is related to the color indigo. The sixth chakra relates to the intuition and spiritual living.

The seventh chakra is located just above the head and is referred to as the crown chakra. This chakra is related to the color violet and helps to connect your physical body to your spiritual being.

Imagine each of these energy centers in your body and during this month notice when there is discomfort or blocks and look at the issues that are going on in your life to see if there is a connection to your physical body.
